Toothpaste for children aged 2-6 years

A healthy smile made easy

In times when tooth decay is common in children despite regular toothbrushing, nenedent toothpaste offers a dependable solution. With an age-appropriate fluoride content of 1,000 ppm it strengthens the sensitive tooth enamel of milk teeth, which only has around one third the thickness of the enamel of permanent teeth. It also contains 13% xylitol, which inhibits the growth of caries bacteria and therefore protects the teeth against plaque and tooth decay.

In addition, nenedent toothpaste has a pleasant raspberry/strawberry/peppermint taste that children will will like. Not only will it help them to enjoy cleaning their teeth, but it will also encourage them to do it more often and more thoroughly. Gentle cleaning is provided by silica gel, which cleans effectively without damaging the thin tooth enamel. This makes the toothpaste strong enough to clean effectively but gentle enough to protect the tooth enamel.

Further product information

Ingredients

Aqua, Hydrated Silica, Glycerin, Xylitol, Propylene Glycol, Xanthan Gum, Aroma (Raspberry/Strawberry/Peppermint), Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Fluoride, Sodium Chloride

Contains sodium fluoride (1,000 ppm = 0.1% fluoride).

Application

Using the toothpaste really is childsplay and could not be easier: simply apply nenedent children’s toothpaste to the toothbrush and make sure the child always spits it out again after brushing. There is no need to rinse out with water, which is particularly helpful for toddlers who have not yet learned how to master this skill reliably.

It is also important to put the correct amount of toothpaste on the toothbrush. A pea-sized amount is enough to ensure effective protection of tooth enamel while also avoiding the risk of an overdose at the same time.

FAQs

From what age can I use the homoeopathy-compatible toothpaste with fluoride for my child?

The homoeopathy-compatible nenedent toothpaste is suitable for children from the age of 0 to 6 years. You can start using it as soon as the first tooth comes through. Just start brushing twice a day with a pea-sized amount, always under supervision to prevent swallowing. From the age of 2, you can then brush twice a day with a dab of toothpaste.

How much toothpaste should I put on the toothbrush?

A pea-sized amount of our toothpaste is enough to effectively clean and protect your child’s teeth.

How often should teeth be brushed?

Children should brush their teeth twice a day, preferably after breakfast and before bed in order to prevent tooth decay and plaque.

Is the toothpaste also suitable for children who have not yet learned how to spit?

Our toothpaste is designed to be safe for your child even if some is accidentally swallowed. Nonetheless, we recommend that you practise spitting with your child as early as possible.

Can the toothpaste prevent plaque in children who otherwise have plaque despite brushing their teeth regularly?

Our toothpaste has been specially developed to effectively deal with plaque and prevent tooth decay provided it is used regularly.

Why is it so important for children to brush their teeth properly?

Correct toothbrushing in children prevents tooth decay and plaque. Brush twice a day, use children’s toothpaste with xylitol, and use the correct method - chewing surfaces first, then the outer surfaces, then the inner surfaces last. Use playful techniques to motivate your child, and start taking him or her to the dentist from an early age.

Why do some children have tooth decay despite brushing their teeth?

Tooth decay in children despite toothbrushing can be the result of incorrect brushing technique, not brushing for long enough, a diet high in sugar, or not visiting the dentist regularly. Milk teeth are particularly susceptible to tooth decay despite brushing. Make sure that your child has a thorough brushing routine, use nenedent toothpaste with xylitol, and encourage healthy eating habits.
